Leave Stratford heading north, away from the Westfield roundabouts, and pick up Leyton Road. It becomes High Road Leyton, the A112, and that single road does most of the work for you.
The Bakers Arms junction is the one place the route can slow down, particularly between four and six in the afternoon. If you are travelling then, allow twenty-five minutes rather than fifteen.
Leyton Orient football ground signposted off to the right early on means you have picked up the A112 correctly. The Bakers Arms crossroads, with its cluster of shops and the bus stands, is the halfway marker. Walthamstow Central station and the long run of market stalls along the High Street confirm you have stayed on Hoe Street rather than drifting east. Once you turn onto Forest Road, the Walthamstow Wetlands signs and the reservoir land to the west tell you Blackhorse Lane is close.
There is free parking on site at Hibbert Road, so you do not need to hunt for a bay on Blackhorse Lane or use the station car park. Bring the V5C or your proof of ownership, both keys if the vehicle has two, and any diagnostic printouts or repair invoices relating to the cluster, dashboard or ECU. Those three things between them usually cut the diagnostic stage in half.
Yes, and several customers do when they are leaving the vehicle with us. From Stratford take the Overground towards Chingford or the Central line to Leyton and change, or ride through to Walthamstow Central and take the Victoria line one stop to Blackhorse Road. From Blackhorse Road station it is a walk of a few minutes to Hibbert Road. The 158 and 123 buses also run along Blackhorse Lane and Forest Road.
